Dr. Gregg Gittins is a Chiropractor specializing in sports injuries and spinal rehabilitation and his been in private practice in Eugene, Oregon for the past 24 years. After obtaining his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Oregon, Dr. Gittins pursued his dream of becoming a Chiropractor at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. After graduating in 1994 and establishing his practice Dr. Gittins built a large and loyal following of patients who appreciated his individualized care and skilled adjusting techniques.
In order to enhance his knowledge and skills, Dr. Gittins pursued further training as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, receiving his certification by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. This accreditation is shared by only 3% percent of all licensed Chiropractors in the nation. Dr. Gittins is a specialist in the treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and chronic lower back pain. Dr. Gittins teaches that strength is truly medicine.
In 2003, Dr. Gittins partnered in the creation of Lane County’s first state-of-the-art spinal rehabilitation center focusing on progressive resistance exercise utilizing superslow training and MedX rehabilitation equipment. This combination of technology and training method has become known as the safest and most efficient way to strengthen and rehabilitate the body. Treatment protocols focus on individuals who are tired of dealing with recurring lower back or neck pain or with those who just want to feel better and get stronger. Dr. Foster obtained his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Louisiana and his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.
As a competitive swimmer at the Division 1 collegiate level for 4 years, Dr. Foster has a strong understand of the biomechanics and what it takes to compete at a very high level. He enjoys working with athletes, weekend warriors, and those looking to improve their quality of life through the benefits of Chiropractic. Dr. Foster also places a great amount of emphasis on proper mechanics, patient education, and actively involving his patients in their recovery process.
Dr. Foster was drawn to Chiropractic due to the positive effects it had on his life. He enjoys helping others restore the quality of their life - naturally.
He is attentive, thoughtful and highly skilled. In his free time, he enjoys running, biking, and spending time in the beautiful outdoors.
Dr. Faaborg received his Bachelor of Industrial Design from Western Washington and initially began his career in design and engineering. During this time, he experienced recurring lower back pain and subsequently sought chiropractic treatment. Due to the amazing results he experienced he became inpired to become a Chiropractor. In 2012 Dr. Faaborg earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Faaborg enjoys his work and feels priviledge to be able to help others as he once was. He is skilled adjustor and proficient in diversified adjusting, the drop table technique, and low force instrumentation. Dr. Faaborg utilizes pulsed laser therapy, taping techniques, nutritional strategies, and progressive strength training exercises to help facilitate patient recovery. He believes “strength is medicine” and often a significant trigger for chronic pain patterns.
When Dr. Faaborg is not in the office, you might find him out on the trails at Spencer Butte enjoying a hike in the beautiful outdoors!
Dr Andrew Huston’s journey in chiropractic started when he injured his back as a collegiate track athlete Louisiana State University. Treated for the wrong diagnosis for over a month by the athletic training staff, he was referred to the team chiropractor, Dr Corbin, who was able to accurately diagnose and treat the root cause of Dr Huston’s pain and he returned to running about a month later. This positive experience led to Dr Huston pursuing his own career as a chiropractor.
A child of two educators and lifelong athlete, Dr Huston brings a passion for education and developing a healthy lifestyle to each encounter. Dr Huston provides attentive, thoughtful care designed to help you reach your specific goals. When Dr Huston isn’t in the office, he loads up his adventure van with his wife, 5 kids, and 2 dogs to go explore all of the great outdoor recreation opportunities available in Oregon.
Eric is a very accomplished trainer and comes to us from the Downtown Athletic Club, where he’s spent 9 years as a personal trainer. He has worked thousands of hours one on one helping people reach their health and wellness goals.
As a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Eric maintained Dean’s List status while receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Physical Education and a concentration in coaching. As part of his degree, he completed a 400 hour internship in corporate wellness at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Eric has furthered his education by completing requirements to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Personal Trainer (ACTION and ACE), as well as a Golf Conditioning Specialist (GMP Fitness). These are some of the highest certifications in his field.
Eric is an avid golfer, basketball player, hiker, and overall sports fan (favorite teams are everything Ducks, Dallas Cowboys, Portland Trailblazers, and the LA Dodgers). We are confident his experience both in and out of the gym will make him a valuable asset in helping you with your recovery and achieving your personal fitness goals.
Marci has worked in the Chiropractic field in Eugene since 1996 and as a licensed Massage Therapist since 2001. Over the past 17 years, Marci has specialized in Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue and injury recovery techniques, as well as pregnancy and post-partum massage.
With confident hands, Marci uses her knowledge of cupping, T-bar therapy, myofascial trigger point therapy, fascial abrasion and positional release techniques to help the body heal. Her patients report excellent improvement in the relief of headaches and ongoing pain patterns. You will enjoy her healing hands.
Spencer Martin is a massage therapist specializing in deep tissue massage application. As an athlete who loves weight lifting, Spencer has widely benefited from both therapeutic massage and chiropractic treatment . After suffering from an intensive motor vehicle accident and receiving massage therapy as a mode of treatment, Spencer decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. He received his LMT (licensed massage therapy) education from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy located in British Columbia, Canada and Rogue Community College located in Oregon.
Spencer’s secondary education has prepared him to treat a variety of patients who present with diverse injuries and various pathologies. He acted as a licensed chiropractic assistant for several years prior to receiving his massage licensure, working closely under several chiropractic doctors. Based on Spencer's education and experience, he is more than capable of developing specified and systematic massage treatments for patients assuming varying lifestyles, hobbies, and occupations. He is pleased to be joining the team at Back2Strength.
